Chronic liver disease is a growing public health concern, and early diagnosis has the potential to transform patient outcomes and quality of life. But what does an early diagnosis truly mean for patients, families, and caregivers? How does this affect those with comorbidities, and how can patients navigate the challenges and leverage the benefits of an early diagnosis towards better health? On March 3, 2025, the LiverAim consortium organised a webinar to explore the real impact of early detection, focusing on the potential to empower patients to take control of their health and support prevention. The panel discussed challenges such as health and digital literacy, access to care, sustainable healthy lifestyle changes, How patients understand their diagnosis and the role of care providers, patient support groups and online communities.
