ELPA member “VIMOR” organizes an awareness and screening campaign covering whole of Hungary

ELPA member VIMOR is organizing an awareness and screening campaign covering the whole of Hungary.

There will be 15 locations in 15 cities nationwide where hepatologists and members of patient associations will help raise awareness.

A number of information leaflets will be available for the general public including a questionnaire that helps determine the risk factor of hepatitis. Those responders who are found to be at high risk will have the opportunity to be tested and if the test is positive they will be informed about the disease and treatment opportunities.

In order to ensure that the campaign reaches a large section of the population we are organizing a national media coverage through television, the internet and the printed media.

Our aim is to educate the general public about hepatitis infections, about available treatment options and also to fight against negative discrimination.
