Hosted by the Slovak Medical University SMU, the second part of the ELPA special program on NASH clinical trials took place on May 12 and 13, 2023, in Bratislava.
Lectures focused on pharmacology, and more specifically on the particular conditions for NASH Clinical Trials and patients/patient organisations, deepening the discussion specifically on biopsies, biomarkers, Quality of Life, ongoing clinical trials in NASH and patients/patient organisations’ interaction with clinical trials sites/investigators. A session was also dedicated to medical ethics and bioethics with a focus on clinical research and ethic committees. ELPA Members who participated in the Programme also had the occasion to visit the Slovak Medical University SMU and the Liver Multiparametric MRI.
